Getting started with Orbira.

A short guide to the beta. Features may change as we learn.

Before you start

Orbira is in private beta. Join the waitlist, and when your invitation arrives you can follow the steps below. This guide describes the intended flow and will be updated as the beta evolves.

1. Create your workspace

Accept the invitation and sign in. A workspace is where your connections, workflows and run history live. Invite teammates later from settings.

2. Connect your first tool

Open Integrations and choose a tool, such as your email or task tracker. For each one you pick the access level:

  • Read-only: Orbira can look but not change anything.
  • Read and write: Orbira can create or update items, still subject to your approval steps.

Start with read-only. You can widen access later.

3. Create a workflow

Click New workflow and describe the job, for example: every Monday, list the tasks due this week and send me the list. Orbira proposes the steps. Check each one, especially which tools it uses.

4. Set approval gates

Mark steps that should wait for you. Our advice: require approval for anything that sends a message, shares a file or deletes something, at least for the first few runs.

5. Run it and review

Use Run now to test. Open the run from History to see its inputs, each step and the result. If it looks right, turn on the schedule or trigger.

Glossary

  • Workflow: a named series of steps.
  • Trigger: what starts a workflow, such as a schedule or an event.
  • Approval gate: a step that waits for you.
  • Run: one execution of a workflow, with its own log.
